How to fulfill the corresponding social responsibilities while ensuring the sustainable development of the company’s management level, and contribute to the social development to contribute to the social development has become a hot topic for every big company.
On March 28th, 2018, the “Corporate Social Responsibility Roundtable Conference” jointly organized by HRCLUB Private Board and AHK China German Chamber of Commerce was held at Volkswagen Automatic Transmission (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. VWATJ shared its efforts in corporate social responsibility and the successful experience of the “W2W Project”, conducted active and in-depth discussions with other companies on how to better assume corporate social responsibility. During the discussion, the participating companies defined the objectives of the company’s social responsibility respectively, and shared the opportunities and challenges encountered at the moment.

W2W Project
W2W project provides fair employment opportunities for disabled people and reflects VWATJ’s determination and courage to undertake CSR actively as an outstanding employer in China.
The background is that some of the long-term service employees of Volkswagen cannot engage in intensive work in the production line due to their age and physical illness accumulated over the years or disability, the company help for these employees to find jobs that can match their physical condition based on corporate social responsibility. As a pioneer in China, VWATJ introduced the project at the end of 2015 and extended the scope of the W2W project to the recruitment of disabled employees.

In July 2021, VWATJ donated ￥50,000 to Tianjin SOS Children’s Village through Tianjin Charity Association, which will be used for infrastructure maintenance of Tianjin SOS Children’s Village to create a better environment for children there. Earlier that year in June, VWATJ initiated a charity sale within the company. All ￥1,750 from this charity sale was also donated to Tianjin SOS Children’s Village.
